The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai will not only bring a brighter Diwali this year but will also light up the festival of lights in 2007.
Umrao Jaan , which has Ash in the lead role, is slated to release this Diwali.
And in 2007 Diwali time, Ash will have another big release in Jodha Akbar , in which she plays the lead role opposite Hrithik Roshan .
Reports are that director Ashutosh Gowarikar will begin shooting the period romance next month.
The movie is a 16th century love story between a Muslim emperor and a Hindu princess and would be shot in palaces and forts in western and northern India.
The film centers on how an arranged marriage between Emperor Akbar and his wife turned into love.
The movie focuses on the couple when they were young and will span their lives from the age of 13 to 28.
UTV is all set to co-produce the film in which Hrithik plays king Akbar and Ash plays his ladylove Jodha.
The film, with a budget of Rs 37 crores will go on floors later this year and the research is going on.
